How do I get started?
Quick answer
Convert to PNG is a Mac app that turns image files into PNG files. Drop images on the window or click Browse Files, and each one is saved as a PNG in your output folder.
What it does
- Makes PNG copies of your image files.
- Keeps the size. Images are not resized.
- Keeps transparency. See-through areas stay see-through.
- Leaves the originals alone. Your source files are not changed.
- Runs on a Mac.
The main window
- Top bar: the title Image to PNG Converter and three buttons: Start, Reset Failed and Clear.
- Left side: counts for Queued, Converted and Failed.
- Output: the folder your PNGs go to, a Choose Folder button and a Replace existing files switch.
- Accepted: the file endings the app takes.
- Drop area: Drop source images here, with a Browse Files button.
- Destination: the full path of the output folder.
- Source Formats: the image types it reads.
- Files: every image you added, with its status.
Your first conversion
- Drop images on Drop source images here, or click Browse Files.
- Wait a moment. Conversion starts on its own.
- Check the Files list. Each row says Completed or Failed.
- Open the output folder shown under Destination to find your PNGs.
