Who can use Team Assist?

Team Assist is for adults only — coaches and trainers, parents or guardians, and athletes aged 18 or over. Athletes under 18 don’t have accounts.

Do I need to create an account?

There’s nothing to sign up for and no password. Team Assist uses the Apple Account already on your iPhone. You do need to confirm you’re 18 or over.

What do I need to run Team Assist?

An iPhone running iOS 18.6 or later, and you must be 18 or over. It runs on iPad too. Android isn’t available.

How do I schedule a session?
Quick answer

Sessions are created in the Schedule tab — pick a type, time, and location, choose athletes or a team, and optionally make it repeat. Cancelling asks before deleting and can pre-fill a message to the group.

How do I add athletes, clients and teams?
Quick answer

One athlete record holds everything about that person — contacts, notes, sessions, packages. Teams group athletes together, and an athlete can be on more than one.

How do I track payments and packages?
Quick answer

The finance center records money — packages, payment requests, balances, and payment history. It does not process payments: money changes hands outside the app, and you mark things paid.

What do connected parents and athletes see?

Sessions, assignments, announcements, updates, and package summaries appear for the connected adult for each athlete — a parent or guardian, or an athlete aged 18 or over.

Can I use Apple Watch, the widget, or share into Team Assist?

The Apple Watch app is a Run Playbook remote (switched on in Labs), the widget shows today’s sessions, and the share extension imports a parent’s contact card.

Team Chat

Messaging, and what the status banners mean.
How do I message my team?
Quick answer

Chat is between adults — you and the parents or adult athletes connected to you, plus team and staff conversations. Messages are text and emoji only.

Why does chat say it's retrying?
Quick answer

A banner appears when messages aren’t syncing normally. Messages you’ve sent are saved on your device and delivered once things recover — they aren’t lost.

Connections & Visibility

Connecting with parents and adult athletes, and who can see what.
How do I invite a parent or an adult athlete?

You send an invite code by text from the athlete’s page. The invited adult installs Team Assist, chooses the Athlete profile, and enters the code plus their phone number. Inviting anyone is optional.

Who can see my athletes' information?

Only connected adults see anything — a parent or guardian, or an adult athlete — and only what comes from coaches they’re actively connected to. Athletes under 18 see nothing.

How do I accept or decline a session?
Quick answer

A session that needs an answer shows a blue New capsule with Accept and Decline buttons. Once you answer, the card shows the answer instead. You can change it from inside the session until it starts.

What do packages, credits and the Finance tile mean?
Quick answer

Packages lists every package your coach sold you, with credits used and left. Finance shows what is outstanding, any open payment request, and every payment recorded. A payment request also sits in Needs Attention on Home until it is settled.

How do I connect to my coach?

Your coach texts you a 10-character invite code. On the Teams tab tap the + next to Coaches, pick which athlete it is for, paste the code, enter the phone number your coach has for you, and tap Connect.

Team Assist uses the Apple Account already on your iPhone, plus a one-time confirmation that you’re 18 or over. Your information follows that account, not the device.
