How do I send my camera?
Quick answer
Choose Caller, pick Send my camera to them, enter their Host and Port, then press Connect. The app sends H.264 video from the camera and microphone.
Send
- Step 1: tap Caller.
- Step 2: choose Send my camera to them.
- Host and Port: the receiver’s address.
- Next through the steps, then Connect.
- Allow the camera and microphone when asked.
Video settings
These are in Show all settings, under Video.
- Resolution: 480p, 720p or 1080p.
- Orientation: Landscape or Portrait. iPhone and iPad only.
- Bitrate: 1 to 12 Mb/s.
- The Mac always sends the camera as it delivers it, landscape.
Good to know
- iPhone and iPad use the rear camera and the default microphone.
- One caller at a time: many receivers only accept one. Disconnect any other sender first.
- Watch the numbers: see what the numbers mean.
