How do I find files by name?

Run the search

1. Click Search Name at the top.
2. Type part of the name in the Name box.
3. Press Return, or click Search.

How it matches

• Anywhere in the name. tom finds tom.jpg and Photos of Tom.pdf.
• Capitals don’t matter. tom finds TOM, Tom and tom.
• Accents don’t matter. e matches é.
• Size filter works here too.

Results

• Sorted by name.
• Right-click a row and choose Show in Finder to see it.
