How does the Learning Center work?
Quick answer
Tap Learn. A one-minute check places your child in each skill. Then they pick a world, the squishy teaches a lesson, and 4 right out of 5 moves that skill up a level.
Open it
- Pick a player on the home screen.
- Tap Learn.
The one-minute check
- First visit: the One-minute check runs.
- Tap Start! to begin, or Not now to skip it.
- It only places your child. It finds a starting level in each skill.
- At the end: All done! shows a level per skill. Tap To the Learning Center.
- Run it again any time: Check again (1 minute).
The worlds
- Pick a skill to learn. Each skill is a world. The squishy wears a costume.
| World | Skill | From age |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Orchard | Counting | 4 |
| Balloon Fair | Adding | 4 |
| Building Site | Shapes | 4 |
| Pirate Cove | Taking away | 6 |
| Chocolate Factory | Fractions | 7 |
| Cookie Bakery | Times | 8 |
| Mystery Manor | Missing numbers and equations | 8 |
| Rocket Range | Decimals | 9 |
| Pizza Party | Dividing | 10 |
A lesson
- The squishy explains it. Your child taps the picture to go on.
- Then 5 questions.
- 4 right moves that skill up one level. There are 12 levels per world.
- A lesson never moves a child down.
- A wrong answer shows the working for that question.
- Back to skills returns to the worlds.
Learning badges
- Learning badges at the bottom show what is earned and the next one to get.
- Each badge pays coins.
How the games use it
- The Trail Game and Flashcards size their numbers to your child’s levels.
