How does Word Climb work?
Quick answer
Guess the word from an emoji clue and its first letter. Tap or swipe the letters before the clock fills them in. Five words climb one level.
How a word plays
- You see: the first letter, an emoji clue, and scrambled letter tiles.
- Tap the letters, or swipe through them.
- Undo takes back a letter.
- Faster is more points. As the clock runs, more letters fill in and the clue gets easier. The points drop.
- The clock: 15 seconds for ages 4–5. 10 seconds for everyone else.
- Time’s up! shows the word.
Skip
- Skip moves on. It costs 5 points.
The ladder
- Each word is one rung. Rung 1 of 5 shows where you are.
- Top of the ladder! after 5 words. Tap Level up!
- Level … done! shows the bonus and coins.
- Next Level brings longer words and fewer free letters.
- Stop for now ends the game.
