What's on the Home screen?
Last updated
The Home tab is what you see when you open Team Assist: today’s sessions, a Needs Attention list of follow-ups, and shortcuts into the rest of the app.
Team Assist is organised into tabs along the bottom of the screen: Home, Schedule, Athletes (called Teams in the Coach profile), Tools, and Search. The Home tab is the dashboard.
What’s on Home
-
Today — today’s sessions. Tap a session to open it, or View all for the full schedule. Before anything is scheduled it shows “All clear — no sessions scheduled today”, which is the normal day-one state, not an error.
Home shows a summary rather than the whole day. On a busy day the list stops after the first few sessions and the next line tells you how many more there are — tap it to open the full list, where every session for the day is shown. If you are used to counting the sessions on Home to check your day, count them on Schedule instead; Home is the preview.
-
Needs Attention — a follow-up queue with a count for each category, such as unpaid sessions, session confirmations, assignment completions, and announcement reads. Tap a category to work through it. The section only appears when something actually needs attention.
Session Confirmations lists declines only. An athlete who simply hasn’t answered a session invite yet is not a follow-up — no “No reply” rows appear, however many sessions or athletes are waiting. A decline shows up with the athlete’s reason so you can react.
-
Workspace — shortcuts into Schedule, Athletes, Teams, and Assignments.
At the top there are buttons for Messages and alerts, and a profile pill for switching between the Trainer, Coach, and Athlete profiles.
Notifications
The bell opens the Notification Center. Each notification has Open, Mark as Read, and Delete buttons — Delete removes it whether or not it has been read, and swiping a row deletes it too. Mark All as Read clears the unread count in one tap. Delete All Notifications empties the list; it asks you to confirm first.
A deleted notification stays deleted. It does not come back on the next launch or the next sync.
Search
The Search tab searches across your athletes, sessions, teams and the rest of your data. Type what you’re looking for and results appear as you go.
Sessions are included. If you search for a session on an iPhone and find nothing where you expect a result, that is worth reporting — see reporting a problem.
Rows that show, rows that open
On an athlete’s page the session rows — both Future and Session History — are a summary of what happened and when. They are there to read, not to tap. Sessions are opened from Home or the Schedule tab.
Can it be customised?
The layout itself is fixed, but the Needs Attention queue is configurable: in Tools → Settings → Needs Attention you can choose which follow-up categories feed the dashboard queue, and individual items can be dismissed.
The first time you open the app
Before you ever see the dashboard, Team Assist asks you to confirm you’re 18 or over, lets you pick a profile (Trainer, Coach, or Athlete), shows a short tour of how the app works for that profile, and walks you through a guided setup. The dashboard appears once setup is complete — initially with empty sections and the Workspace shortcuts, which is where adding your first athletes and sessions starts.
